Introduction to Criminal Justice

The main objective of this course is to introduce each student to the components (law enforcement, courts, and corrections) of the entire criminal justice process in the United States. Students will learn about the past, present, and future operation of criminal justice, and students will be provided with the contextual basis for a critical understanding of the criminal justice system. In addition, students will learn the unique vocabulary used and employment opportunities in criminal justice.
