 2007– 2008 Plano Senior High Planoettes Drill Team Congratulations to this year’s team of Planoettes and Maroon Guard. The Planoettes is comprised of seventy-eight talented young ladies who auditioned for their spot on this high profile team; the Maroon Guards were interviewed and chosen individually to be members of the traditional escorts for The Planoettes. The 2007-2008 Planoette Officers attended Officer Camp where they were awarded the Gold Elite Overall Camp Award (top award of the camp). They also received Blue Ribbons for their Chosen Routine, Camp Dance, and Compulsory Routine. They received a superior rating on their Home Routine. During the summer, the drill team held their annual Planoette Line Camp. This year, the officers earned an Outstanding Leadership Award, and Junior Kim Koncewicz received the Outstanding Line Member Award. Other awards were given to the following for hard work, showmanship, technique, and poise: Devin Schubbe, Lisa Schaefer, Stephanie She, and Jackie Monk. Two awards for spirit were given to Katie Henderson and Britton Cunningham. The Planoette Drill Team performs during the Plano Wildcat football and basketball halftime shows and at all pep rallies, competes in regional and national competition as well as putting on their annual Spring Show, PIZAZZ! The Maroon Guard attend all functions alongside the Planoettes. Under the direction of Meredith Shaver, the Planoette Bootbackers Booster Club assists with supporting the Planoettes and Maroon Guard in all of their activities.
