OPEN HOUSEFall Open House is Monday, September 8. Dr Dean will make an opening address
in the theater at 6:40 pm. Parents will then go the class rooms. Please
bring your students schedule with you. Zero hours will start at 7 pm and 1st
period at 7:15 pm. Classes will change every 15 minutes.

FOOTBALL – THURSDAY AT KIMBROUGH
The Wildcats will play DeSoto Thursday night at Kimbrough Stadium. Game time
is 7:30 pm. Kimbrough Stadium is located at 700 N. Murphy Road, Murphy, TX 75094
FOOTBALL TICKETS SALES
CLARK FIELD: Tuesday 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm, Wednesday 9 am – 4:30 pm, Thursday 9
am – 1 pm.
PLANO SENIOR HIGH: (General Admission ONLY) Tuesday 1 pm – 4:30 pm,
Wednesday 8 am – 4:30 pm, and Thursday 8 am – 10 am.

VISITORS
All visitors to Plano Senior High during the school day, must sign-in with
the receptionist and receive a “Visitor ID”. Visitors must provide a valid
ID, drivers License, or state ID card. Visitors without valid ID may be
denied entrance.

COLLEGE NIGHT
College Night will be hosted by Plano and Plano East this year. Parents and
all students are welcome to attend either or both events. Over 200 Colleges will be represented.

Plano is Monday September 15, 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
Plano East is Tuesday September 16, 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Plano East is located at
3000 Los Rios.

STUDENT PARKING
Parking Permits are for sale in Delta Sub-school. A permit for the year is
$75. Students are required to have “The White Card” filled out and signed by
a parent before receiving a 08-09 parking permit.

Daily parking permits are also for sale in Delta sub-school. Daily permits
are $2 per day.

Students parked illegally, in the numbered teacher spaces or the visitor
spaces will be towed.

DRESS CODE VIOLATIONS
Students can be sent home if they do not meet dress code standards. If a
student is sent home for a dress code violation it will be an unexcused
absence.
Many of the violations we are seeing are; shorts and skirts too short, tank
tops, spaghetti straps, holes in jeans, visible under garments and body
piercing.

PLANOETTE GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Planoette Golf Tournament is THIS SATURDAY September 6, 1:30-5:30 at
Twin Creeks. The Planoettes will perform at 5:30 and the dinner/silent
auction will follow at 6:00.

We are still accepting golfers and silent auction donations as well as

PTSA

PRACTICE PSAT/SAT/ACT
The PSHS PTSA will be hosting a practice test session for PRA, PSAT, ACT and
SAT on Saturday, September 6th in Building B at 9:00 a.m. Registration forms
are due by Wednesday, September 3rd in the PSHS office. Forms may be found

SPIRIT SALE
The PTSA will be selling Wildcat hoodies, zipper hoodies, car decals,
Wildcat pens and notepads at Open House on September 8th. Visit our table
under the bridge by the cafeteria before, during and shortly after Open
House. We will also be selling assigned reading books in the PSHS Library
during Open House from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Check the list at

prices. If you ordered a Wildcat or zipper hoodie from the PTSA at
registration, please visit the PTSA table during Open House to pick them up!

COMMUNITY BUCKS
The PTSA will be collecting TOM THUMB COMMUNITY BUCKS to raise funds for
Plano After Prom. Please drop off your certificates at the front office,
attention PTSA.

PTSA WELCOME BACK COFFEE
Are you new to PSHS or are you returning for another year? Either way,
please mark your calendar and join your PTSA in a “Welcome Back Coffee” on
Thursday, September 4 at 9:00 am in the Lecture Hall in Building B. We will
have a short meeting and then our guest speaker, Dr. Dean, will be there to
share information for the upcoming school year. We look forward to seeing
you there!
