| On February 10, 2006, Saigling Elementary received a surprise visit from former student, Chelsea Stanford. Chelsea is the newly published auther of Runaway Hotel. | |||
| Children's author, H.J. Ralles has visited Saigling for the past two years. She spends the day presenting a hands-on Writers Workshop to Saigling's fourth and fifth graders. The workshop takes place in the library and focuses on the writing process. She uses her novels Keeper of the Kingdom and Darok 9 as examples. | |||
