Through teamwork in a caring environment, Shepton High School will produce responsible graduates who are able to think critically and function successfully with the integrity and pride in our rapidly changing and highly competitive world.

Shepton High School has a long history of academic excellence in the Plano community. Home to approximately 1600 9th and 10th graders, Shepton offers a full range of courses in all academic areas including honors and Advanced Placement. The Shepton Stallions compete in a variety of athletic and academic competitions and offer over 50 clubs to join.

AP Honor Banner

Plano ISD is proud to be one of only 477 school districts across the nation to receive the AP Honor Roll distinction from the College Board. Go to the College Board website to find out more.
Shepton Day of Service
All members of the Shepton community (students, parents, teachers, and staff) are invited to participate in a day of fun as we give back to our community. On Saturday May 9, we will be volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas. There will be 2 shifts: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Busses will be provided, or you are welcome to drive yourselves. As teachers or staff, you will need to sign up via Google Form by April 24 – the NTFB can only accommodate around 150 volunteers per shift, so I recommend signing up early to secure your spot. Spouses are welcome as long as they fill out a volunteer form online, and no children under the age of 14 are allowed to volunteer at the NTFB.

Day of Service Permission Form

All volunteers will need to sign up at by April 24.
Non-PISD adults will need to fill out the district volunteer form at .

The Spirit of Shepton Award
This year, you, the students are going to decide who to make as the student choice Spirit of Shepton Teacher of the Year. All you need to do is find the teacher that best represents the Spirit of Shepton. Find a teacher who you think:

1. Cares about the school and loves teaching their subject.
2. Can easily connect with their students.
3. By their actions, influences students to make positive choices.
4. Always encourages their students to work harder and set their goals beyond the obvious.
5. Finds new ways to make learning fun so kids can excel in the class.

Once you can think of a teacher who fits all of those five requirements,

and log into Google Form to cast your vote. You must use your school Google account. Also, please give a short answer to the following question:

My favorite teacher impacted my life because….
