Where is Skaggs
located?
Skaggs Elementary School is located at 3201 Russell Creek Drive. We are west from Independence, between Hedgcoxe and McDermott. Russell Creek is the first set of lights north of Hedgcoxe.

When can I join my child for lunch? Each child may have one visitor for lunch each semester. We suggest you join your child on his/her birthday as a special surprise!
How early can I drop my child off for school? You may drop your child off at the gym doors at 7:00 a.m.
What if my child
forgets his/her lunch?
You may bring your child's lunch, put their name on the outside and drop it into the appropriate grade level crate in the front lobby. Teachers will pick up lunches on their way to the cafeteria.
What should I do if my child forgets his/her items at school such as homework or lunch boxes? Students may re-enter school only until 3:30 PM. After that students will not be able to retrieve forgotten items.
How do I volunteer
for Skaggs?
You may complete the online volunteer form. The last page needs to be notarized. We have a notary public in the office and would be pleased to do this for you. The website address for the online form is: http://pisd.edu/volunteer
My child has a fever, can he come to school? Your child must be fever free for 24 hours before he can return to class.
Can my child bring his medicine to school? Students may not bring any medicine including cough drops to school without a note from a parent. The note and medicine must be given to the nurse who will administer it to the child. All prescription medicines must be in original container.
My child is sick/tardy. How do I report this? Operation ChildSafe is a program designed to locate any child not present when class roll is taken. If your child will be late or absent, please call (469) 752-3300 and press "3" to leave a message on the answering machine. Please give the student's name and grade, the date and the reason for the absence. Families of children not
accounted for will be called. Please remember to notify the
school each day your child is absent AND follow up with a
note to the teacher regarding the reason for the absence.
