President's Letter: 2006-2007
Dear Stinson Families:
Welcome back to another year at Stinson Elementary. I hope you had an enjoyable
summer vacation. As your PTA President, it is my goal to stay on the cutting
edge of keeping our Star Families involved and informed. We have a dynamic
PTA who works with the Stinson staff creating an environment conducive to
successful learning for our “Stars”.
Joining the PTA allows you to be a part of your child’s school in a
way that adds tremendous value. While everyone is not able to commit their
time in volunteering, you can still be supportive by joining the PTA. Being
a PTA member arms you with the opportunity to be informed, involved and educated
in your child’s school and activities.
If you are new to Stinson this year, I would like to extend a personal welcome
and hope you might consider serving on the PTA Board, it’s a great way
to meet people and get involved not only in your child’s school, but
the community as well. There are still several open PTA Board positions available.

I am proud to announce the launch of the Stinson PTA Website. We developed
the website over the summer to allow for instant access to upcoming events,
information, as well as links for parenting and other PTA organizations. Please

The partnership of the Stinson PTA, your parent involvement, and a quality
education is a recipe for creating successful leaders of the future. Your
PTA is committed to another year of service to you and your child, and look
forward to meeting you and getting you involved.

How To Join
Joining PTA is a great way to show your support of our school!
The main purpose of PTA is to be advocates for our children, in whatever way
necessary or possible.
The cost to join is $6.00 per member, per year.
This fee allows us to be part of the Texas and National PTA groups and helps
support some programs at our school. You are also provided a PTA directory
(this is very handy for playdates!)
You may join PTA at any time during the school year.
Some members join during packet pick up at the beginning of the school year,
where we have a "booth" set up. Others go to the school office and pick up
a PTA envelope and drop their dues in it (just leave the PTA envelope with
your information on it in the office).
So, join PTA today!
