Expectations of a Second Grade Self-Manager:
· They manage themselves consistently without frequent teacher redirection.
· They are responsible for returning homework on time.
· They follow morning routine in a timely manner, putting away backpack, turning in papers, and getting started on morning warm-up.
· They are respectful of self, school, teacher and others.
· They are caring and helpful of others.
*Parents and Students will sign a contract of expectations once achieving self-manager- Click here to Print Contract

STAR Folders:
· Second grade students will receive signatures on their Thomas Texan Folders as teachers see the student exhibiting any of the Six Character Traits(responsibility, citizenship, respect, fairness, caring or trustworthiness).

Right Choice:
· Right Choice lessons concerning character and behavior are taught weekly.
· Inappropriate behavior will result in related consequences to happen. Ex: The student does not finish homework or class work then they will need to complete it possibly during recess or p.e.
· A Right Choice Worksheet will be given if needed. It asks the students to describe the inappropriate behavior, list what could have been done differently, and state a consequence that they feel would be appropriate.
· If a child is a Self-Manager, instead of a Right Choice Worksheet, they will receive a Self-Manager Warning Sheet to fill out. They will have the understanding that they will lose their badge and self-manager privileges the second time.
