VINES PTSA ENCOURAGES STUDENT MEMBERSHIP!
As card-carrying members, students gain these benefits:

Scholarship opportunities: Students who join in the 9th grade and continue their PTSA affiliation through
senior year can apply for a Texas PTA Scholarship for students.

Résumé strength: PTSA membership looks good on
a student's college application because it reflects extracurricular involvement and initiative.

Leadership experience: Student members can hold a position or chair a committee with their local PTSA,
expanding their knowledge and experience in planning and organizing teams.

For membership information or to obtain a PTSA membership enrollment form you may
contact Elisabeth Miller - Jkzmom@planoaggies.com

Vines Historian Book

Parents, teachers, even students, if you have taken photographs of events, activities, class presentations, fund-raisers, sporting events, ball games, anything, everything, we want your photos to be included in our Vines Historian Book. After the photos have been displayed in our school hallway we will place them in our Historian Book. This book will be available for all past and present Vines students and families to come and view the memories of our school year. The Historian Book will be located in our school office or library. We want to include you! All approved photos will be included in the Vines Historian Book Some photographs may qualify to be submitted to our local newspapers. If you want your students photo to be submitted you must first fill out and return the PISD Publications, Video, Internet Consent and Release Agreement. This allows us to submit your student’s photo to our local newspapers. We submit to the Plano Star Courier and the Plano section of the Dallas Morning News. If you don’t have the form that was in the registration envelope material you can get one from the school office or by contacting TC Langford, PTSA Historian. We will collect photographs all through the school year. But remember old news is no news. So don’t wait, get your film developed and turn in your photos each week. This way we can get the submitted photos approved and meet the newspaper deadline. Newspaper deadlines are noon the day before publication.
