Students are expected to be on time to classes in order to avoid disrupting the learning environment. Tardiness to class results in the following consequence:
1st Tardy
Documented teacher warning to student
2nd Tardy
30-minute teacher detention
(a no show results in a doubled teacher detention)
3rd Tardy
1-hour teacher detention with phone call home to parents
(a no show results in a referral to the administrative intern’s office for a Friday Night Live)
4th Tardy
Referral to the administrative intern for Friday Night Live
Three tardies of less equals one unexcused absence
Nine tardies equals three unexcused absences and could result in truancy being filed or considered
More than 10 minutes tardy equals a full period absence
