The Coach
Coach Eschleman has taught school and coached for 21 years, the last 16 in Plano.  He is a graduate of Lewisville H.S. (1973) where he played football, basketball, track and cross country. His personal record in the 800 is 1:50.9 placing in the top 10 in the NAIA (1977). His cross country teams have won the district championship in '94, '95, '96, '97, '99, and he was named coach of the year each year. He has had great success in track with numerous regional and state qualifiers, plus one state champion in 1996. He two sons Rhett (17)  and Reid (13).

The Sport
Cross country teaches students discipline, while strengthening the athlete's body and mind. Cross country is only one semester long, and has a meet every Saturday. Both girls and boys run at the same meet, but have different practice times and different coaches.
