Do you have a child, or know of a child in the Wyatt neighborhood who will be eligible to attend kindergarten in August ’08? If so, now is the time to stop by the front office at Wyatt between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m to pick up registration information to be completed before the Kindergarten Round-up date of Friday, April 4th. We also offer a Junior Joey Program where incoming kindergarten students visit the classroom and familiarize themselves with the school. More information on this program will be available after your child is registered on April 4th.
At kindergarten registration all parents must show these required items:
1. Proof of Residency - A current utility bill for electricity or natural gas, bearing the name and address of the parents, or a builder's contract. Copies of Utility bills will not be accepted. If you have not moved into the house yet, prior to registration, you must take your builders contract to the Administration building for a certificate of eligibility form. Then bring this form to us as a proof of residency.
2. The original Birth Certificate - certified birth certificate issued by the state, not the one with the footprints of the child. Your child must be 5 years old by September 1st, 2008.
3. A proof of current up-to-date shots signed by the doctor - This must include the DPT Polio given after the age of four, Hep B Vaccine (series of 3), 2 doses of MMR with 1st dose after 1st birthday, and chicken pox (varicella) given after 1st birthday.
4. The person enrolling the student must provide their drivers license or passport or Texas Department of Transportation Identification card.
*If your child has a social security card pleas bring the card in so we may copy it for his/her cumulative folder.
Completed packets will be accepted no earlier than on kindergarten registration day, April 4, 2008.
If you do not have the required documents listed above, or your child does not have all immunizations already you can not be registered.
All forms must be returned upon the day of registration along with all of the required items.
