Using your ELMO DS-400


Turning your Elmo DS-400 on

Toggle the ON-Off switch located on the side of the Elmo to the On position


Variious functions of the DS-400 will be initialized. The initialization will carry out by flashing the LED indicators

Stowing your Camera

Lighting

Push the LAMP button, the indicator flashes and after a few seconds, the fluorescent lams will lite.
Color/B&W selection
For normal use leave it in the C (color mode). Generally use the B&W setting for black and white documents
Zoom
When the TELE button is pushed, the image become larger. When the WIDE button is pushed, the image becomes smaller.
Focusing objects
When the auto focus button is pushed, the auto focusing begins and the indication lamp flashes during focusing.
The DS-400 features a one-step auto focus function. Once auto focusing is completed, the auto focus function is released so that even if an object is moved, the focus remains unchanged.
To focus the image in the auto focus mode, set the zoom lens at extreme telephoto position for the most accurate focus to occur
Use the manual focus if:
     Objects exhibit weak contrast
     Objects have fine lines in a repeated pattern
     Objects are very bright
     The objects have different heights
     The objects are moving


                                                       OPERATING PROCEDURES
How to present printed materials
1. Turn on the power switch.
2. Place the printed sheet on the stage. While observing the image on the TV monitor, use the zoom button to obtain the optimum size.
3. Press the Auto Focus button

For use as a conventional video camera
1. Remove the close up lens from the camera.
2. Turn the camera head to the horizontal position. The DS-400 can now capture the audience or picture on the wall.
3. Re-attacch the close-up lens after finishing
